"Fort Wayne has a proud heritage and long ago was the destination of choice for early settlers. The city has lost its Sense of Self. We cannot look to Toledo or Dayton, Indianapolis or Providence for who or what we are supposed to be. We must embrace that which makes us unique. Only we can reclaim the title long lost, and once again become the standard-bearer worthy of emulation."
